Atum Service’s unique approach to solving today’s increasing challenges in the wastewater treatment process differentiates us from our competitors. We have advanced technology to not only treat wastewater, but to give the ability to reuse it back in your process.

Only Atum has TrueBlue™ Technology, a proprietary process that utilizes specialized chemistry treatment, combined with Sorbent MPZ™ Media that adsorbs hazardous metals from wastewater. Removing metals to near non-detectable levels, TrueBlue™ can prepare water for recyclability directly back into non-essential processes (Cooling Towers, Boilers, Sludge Pits, non-essential rinses, scrubbers, etc.).

The effluent water can also be purified with DI or RO Equipment to prepare it for your critical processes.

The TrueBlue™ System can be used in the following applications:

  • Primary Wastewater Treatment with lower metal concentrations (less 120 PPM as a target)
  • Point of Source Treatment of specific processes. The water can be directly returned to the process.
  • As a Final Polish Unit directly after Existing Wastewater Treatment Systems (where metal concentrations are >120 PPM. Ensures discharge limits are achieved.
  • As a Source Water Treatment System – When Metals must be removed from source water prior to use in your facility.

Zinc Electroplating

In the case of a Zinc metal coatings facility in Ontario, the limits for Zinc, Manganese and Nickel were not being met in accordance to the sanitary sewer bylaws of that region. The TrueBlue process effectively reduced the concentrations to well below the bylaw standards, as shown in the effluent analytical report

Zinc Plating

Large Automotive E-Coat

An Automotive Manufacturer changed their Cleaner Chemistry to accommodate increased body panels made with Aluminum. The new chelators created issues in removing Zinc and Nickel in their wastewater. Used either as a final polish unit or as a point of source treatment of the cleaner, the chelators were broken and metals removed successfully.
